Newland Windows and Doors is the uPVC and aluminium arm of Dean Joinery Ltd, a business that has been designing, making and installing windows and doors in Gloucestershire since the late 1980s.

 

Dean Joinery was founded by Craig Elsmore in a small chapel in Ruardean. From those humble beginnings, Craig built a reputation for quality joinery and expert craftsmanship that has grown over the decades. Today we operate from a facility of over 10,000 sq ft in Coleford, equipped with CNC machinery and more than 30 machines, with two showrooms and a dedicated team of skilled staff. We work for everyone from individual homeowners to leading housebuilders including Bovis Homes, Lyndon Homes, Brideoak Homes and Vistry Group, and we are proud members of the British Woodworking Federation.

 

Why we started Newland Windows and Doors

 

After decades of making bespoke timber windows and doors, we wanted to bring the same standards to uPVC. Newland Windows and Doors was set up to manufacture uPVC windows and doors in house, in our own dedicated uPVC workshop right next to our joinery workshop in the Forest of Dean. That means the same team, the same attention to detail and the same pride in the job, whatever material you choose.

 

Built with VEKA Halo

 

We manufacture using VEKA Halo, one of the highest quality uPVC profile systems on the market. Halo casement profiles are BSI Kitemarked, tested to PAS 24 for security and rated “severe” for wind and water resistance, so they stand up to whatever the weather throws at them. With multi-chambered profiles and high specification glazing, Halo windows are designed for excellent thermal performance, helping keep your home warm and your energy bills down.

 

Halo is also available in a wide range of colours and finishes, from classic white to woodgrain foils and modern matt textures, with styles to suit both contemporary homes and traditional properties. Choose from casement, flush sash, tilt and turn and vertical sliding sash windows, alongside a range of doors.

Secured by Design and PAS 24 tested

 

Every uPVC window we manufacture is tested to PAS 24 and meets Secured by Design standards.

 

PAS 24 is the UK’s recognised standard for enhanced security in windows. Products are put through a series of physical attack tests designed to replicate the methods used by burglars. It is also the standard required to meet Part Q of the Building Regulations for new homes.

 

Secured by Design is the official police security initiative, run on behalf of the UK Police Service. Its Police Preferred Specification is awarded only to products that have been independently tested and proven to resist attack and help prevent crime. Choosing Secured by Design windows gives you real peace of mind that your home and family are protected by products the police recommend.

Our manufacturing systems and skills have been audited on over 70 different factors by The VEKA UK Group, and we have demonstrated that we produce our products to the high standards demanded by the industry’s leading systems company.

 

FENSA Approved Installer

 

Our fitters have undergone thorough assessments to make sure they install replacement windows and doors in line with the relevant Building Regulations.
